Performed in HKBU Composition Honours Project Concert 2022 “ROUTER”

This piece is composed for solo percussionist playing vibraphone and wind gong with live electronics inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophical concept “天圓地方”, ‘Rounded Sky and Squared Earth’. It is a manifestation of the theory of Yin and Yang (陰陽). Rounded Sky symbolizes movement, and squared earth symbolize stillness; the combination of the two is the balance of Yin Yang and the complementarity of movement and stasis. The piece consists of 4 sections, portraying the concept of “天圓地方” and the concept interpretation from the human imaginations and the law of cosmos.
