Infinity on Boat

Infinity on Boat (2021) is a mix quartet piece composed for bass Clarinet, tuba, piano and cello in 2021. The meaning of “Infinity” is ‘boundless/endless’, which is the general idea of the piece.

This piece is like an excerpt of the endless sailing journey on the boat. As the title of this piece is “Infinity on Boat”, the rhythmic patterns are set to imitate the movement of waves, and creates the perplexed and complicated feeling throughout the piece.

The number ‘8’ is highly emphasized in elements of this piece, including the time signature and the tempo, as the number 8 looks like the symbol of infinity (∞). The structure of the piece is designed in 4 sections, each section represents the drift of the boat in different situation, including sailing, storm, still and wave impact.
